Mayor
Kalulushi District lies in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia and is located 15KM to the West of the City of Kitwe between longitudes 28 degrees East of the Greenwich Meridian and latitudes 13 degrees south of the Equator.
It was founded in the early 1960s as a Mining Town; due to increased population and infrastructure development in the town, Kalulushi attained District status in 1977 and later on a Municipal status in1992. It is made up of one (1) constituency and composed of twenty four (24) wards. The District is under the administration of an Elected Mayor on the Political Side, District Commissioner and Town Clerk representing the Local Government
