The Department is responsible for the provision of Municipal Council engineering services, management of parks and gardens and maintenance of motor vehicles, plant and equipment. It is also  responsible for provision of fire and rescues services. Further, the Department Is responsible for inspection of
vehicles, dredging and pontoon crossing services.
