THE FISHERIES & LIVESTOCK DEPARTMENT

The Fisheries and Livestock Department

The Department shall be responsible for the implementation of the livestock
development programmes and provision of veterinary services. The Department shall
also be responsible for monitoring the implementation of the national fisheries
programmes in capture fisheries management and aquaculture development.

Roles of The Fisheries and Livestock Department

  • Provide veterinary services in the district, and Facilitate safe trade in animals and animal products
