Maintain law and order and ensure national security and good administration.
Control and regulate the erection and display of advertisements in public places.
Control the keeping and movement of livestock within the district.
Regulate slaughtering of animals and control the sale of meat for human consumption.
Maintain hygiene in abattoirs, cold storage facilities, and monitor by-products.
Control the movement of animal carcasses to and from the district.
Establish and maintain public roads.
Control traffic, parking, and establish parking facilities and meters.
Promote and enforce road safety measures.
Establish and maintain street lighting in public places.
Inspect and regulate business premises and intoxicating liquor sales.
Erect, maintain, and encourage development of residential and public buildings.
